Rachel’s “Cry Baby Cakes” Recipe

Here’s the recipe in case you want to make these before I get a chance to bake them!

1 cup sugar
1 cup New Orleans molasses
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup hot water poured over 1 T baking soda
5 cups flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
Mix. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 – 15 minutes.
